ANIMAL WELFARE LEAGUE
OF TRUMBULL COUNTY
The AWL was established in 1969 primarily because of the deplorable
conditions existing at the Trumbull County Dog Pound.
The AWL Incorporated in 1971 and has evolved into one of the premier
shelters in the State of Ohio.
The Animal Shelter was established in August of 1984
when we purchased and extensively renovated
an existing boarding kennel located in a beautiful rural setting.

abandoned, and abused animals to live without pain and suffering.
The AWL is a 501(c)3 charity as determined by the IRS.
The AWL exists solely due to the generosity of our
Members, Contributors, and our many volunteers
who organize and help at our fundraisers!
